YOU WOULD THINK IF THEY COULD MAKE THAT BOX TO BE INDESTRUCTIBLE THAN WHYNOT THE ENTIRE PLANE??

They weigh too much, and FYI they aren't really black, but a bright orange color.

weight...airplanes are very finnicky..and the amount of weight that making the entire thing out of indestructable material would be impossible to lift off the ground..unless you wanna spend a couple hundred thousand for a plane ticket to afford the cost

besides..shouldn't we live in a world where we shouldn't have to worry about this kinda stuff

i think so..it's a shame

Actually....the "black box" isn't indestructable....there have been cases where the "black box" was not usable after a plane crash.....

The same reason they don't make planes out of concrete, which would accomplish the same thing only cheaper

because then the plane would need more power. More power=more fuel. more fuel=more weight. more weight=higher temperature on the engines. more temperature=more coolant. more collant=more cost. more cost=less profit. lessprofit=thinner wallet. so yeah.....
