Because they have a stupid first name themselves (Vivian or Valentine etc) and wish to deflect the attention from themselves onto poor innocent children who will then do the same for their own kids. Sad or what????

I think this is a really stupid thing to do in this day and age, its pretty selfish really. Stars call their kids stupid names too and they do it for attention. The name sounds old fashioned and snobbish which appeals to some I guess. GRRRR! @ them, my kids would kill me for that!
