Ceefa. It's may be not the worst, but it shows a complete lack of imagination. Ceefa cat (C for cat).
Also the people who play it safe and give a cat a human name, like Susie or Robbie, so that when they are outside calling it, they don't feel like an idiot calling out a silly name.

I had a kitten, once. I named it Firestone TigerPaws III. My ex had a Siamese named Piewhackit. I had an orange tabby I named Orion the Mighty Hunter, but we simplly called him Orion. We named him that because that is what he sounded like when he was hungry. We think that he thought Orion meant food.

My son-in-law named a beautiful little torte kitten Sh*t-face, because she had a blob of brown and black on her nose and eye area. I called her Paint cat, and she is alive and well at 7 years old.
I also had twin black cats named Gecko and Geiko.
