How can I keep a male, non-neutered cat from coming into our bushes and leaving his "mark"?

If it's your cat I would say get him fixed.

If not,

Use this stuff called Approach to get rid of the odor. You can get it at www.approachit.net It's great stuff, natural and safe so you can spray it on your plants, on the cat, wherever.

Get supply and if you have one of those garden hoses that can spray soap or fertelizer etc, use this stuff instead of the soap so it coats all the plants. It'll deoderize the whole thing.

I used it constantly when housebreaking my dog Sophie.

Best of luck!

You can neuter him ;) or urge the owner to..If he's not your cat...well, there's not a whole lot you can do. Is it a homeless kitty? You could call a NO-KILL animal shelter to come pick him up...but I wouldn't advise that...as he could be someone's outdoor kitty. You can fence it off, but shrubbery actually smells a bit like cat pee anyway, ..did you know this? Also rats usually live in shrubs. Never call animal control...they euthanize millions of cats/dogs per year, always call a NO-kill animal shelter/rescue group if you're really having a problem...or find someone's wandering pet.

Good luck

take a quart of water and mix it with a half cup of ammonia shake it and spray it in the area where the cat has been spraying, just a mist is fine... remember with time the ammonia scent will where off. I use this on my garbage when placed outside to keep critters from getting into it and my indoor only female cat had many visitors who would spray on my porch and shrubs. Since doing this they have not sprayed at all. My problem was on my porch so i saturated under the porch and it still worked great. good luck!!!!

Several ways.
1. trap the cat and call animal control to remove him.

2.Spray the bushes with a deterrant spray.

3.Spray the cat with pepper spray.

4.Turn on the water when he comes around, cats don't like water.

Is he yours?
If so get him fixed, that might help some.
Ask who ever owns him to a closer eye on him.

You know guns are pretty handy. Heehee
