I'm not saying you should "just let it drip," only that yuo need to excuse yourself to the restroom, not do it at the table where other patrons are trying to eat.

Sure, so you won't just let it drip, but you should excuse yourself from the table because others are trying to eat and that is gross and even if you aren't watching, you can hear it and that is also disgusting. why don't they leave? Because they are too lazy, so they just do it right there on the spot.

Just as with burping and farting or cell phone usage, most people are boors who are only concerned with their well-being and could give a flying f*ck about the rest of the world. Sadly, many people these days lack even basic civilities... might have something to do with the breakdown of society.

The same reason some people make overt, obnoxious actions that seem patently false and premeditated. They have a pretty name. Political police. Parasites. With full government approval. ( As if you didn't know. )

Some foods & additives make your sinuses act up. Also trying to eat it while its way too hot causes the sinuses to act up.
