Can I add a note of caution here.
The man may have been a psychotic thug, but by lobbing a couple of 500 pound bombs onto his hiding place, we are hardly demonstrating that we are any better.
Part of the argument for this war is that we are making Iraq a free and democratic country.
In a free and democratic country the individual is protected by the rule of law and has the right to a free and open trial where the state has to provide the burden of proof as to their guilt.
State sponsored assasination will not convince the Iraqi people that their country is on the road to becoming a better place.
Having leaders of democratic countries stand up and appluading the fact that an enemy has been slain is not exactly comforting.

Our next target is the head of the snake...Bin Laden. He has been and will continue to be at the top of the list; however, several of his important lieuteneants are yet to be apprehended. With his cabinet gutted al-Qaeda will be virtually neutralized, especially if Osama himself is caught..
