Yes. All who claim to be followers of Christ (true Christians) desire to emulate His life of always seeking His Father's will. Jesus Christ kept the commandments and instructed believers to do so as well. He summed up God's ten commandments in two: Love God with all your heart, and love your neighbor as yourself. The first four of the ten are relative to our relationship with God, the last six are relative to our relationship with others.

At any rate, God's commandments have not changed because God has not changed. The fact that the commandments were place INSIDE the ark of the Covenant is very significant when we understand that He has placed His law IN the hearts of all who believe.

"I will put my law within them, and I will write it upon their hearts; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. And no longer shall each man teach his neighbor and each his brother, saying, 'Know the LORD,' for they shall all know me, from the least of them to the greatest, says the LORD; for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more." Jeremiah 31:33b-34

Many times the argument is made: "The commandments were given to a race of people called the 'Jews", so they are not applicable to anyone else." This is absurd and is supported NO WHERE in scripture.

One must only study Romans 2:28-29 and Galations 3:28-29 and the surrounding text to know what scripture defines as a "true Jew". A "true Jew" is from the world "Yahudim" which is from "Yahuah" or "YHWH", the Most High God. So, Yahudim are Yahuah's people. His name is in their name.

They are all who by faith are "God's people" and have been circumcised of the HEART not of the FLESH. God's commandments are for God's people, a group who has always exceeded the bounds of time, race, or gender. When Israel was formed as a "people", ANY one who obeyed God's law was considered part of Israel.

Caleb, a Kenezite, is the best example. He loved and obeyed God and followed the tribe of Judah. Race had nothing to do with his FAITH in God. All who considered themselves "Christians" should obey God's commandments.

"For he is not a Jew which is one outwardly; neither is that circumcision, which is outward in the flesh;

For he is a Jew which is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit, and not in the letter; whose praise is not of men; but of God." Romans 2:28-29

"There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond, nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one IN CHRIST JESUS.

And if ye be Christ's then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise." Galations 3:28-29

Also, if the commandments have been "done away", why is the confirmation, admonition, and rebuke for not keeping them in the very last books of scripture?

"And hereby we do know that we know Him, if we KEEP HIS COMMANDMENTS.

He that saith, 'I know Him', and keepeth not His commandments is a liar, and the truth is not in him.

But whoso keepeth his word, in him verily is the love of God perfected: hereby know we that we are in Him.

He that saith he abideth in Him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked." I John 2:3-6

"Here is thepatience of the saints: here are they that KEEP THE COMMANDMENTS OF GOD, and the faith of Jesus." Revelation 14:12

"Blessed are they that DO HIS COMMANDMENTS, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city." Revelation 22:14

God has never changed but He deals with different people in different times in different ways. God only gave the commandments to the Nation of Israel. The Gentiles are all other nations which never had the Law but by nature do the things written in the law. Romans 2:14 For when the Gentiles, which have not the law, do by nature the things contained in the law, these, having not the law, are a law unto themselves: Today salvation is by grace through faith and keeping the commandments can not make you good enough to get into God's heaven. There was only one man that ever lived that could keep the commandments and that was the Lord Jesus Christ. Since we could never keep the law we need somebody to do it for us and that is what the Lord Jesus Christ did for all that would believe. Romans 3:20 Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin. Ephesians 2:8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Ephesians 2:9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.

God never changes. The bible tels us that God is the same yesterday, today and forever more.

Yes, we are to follow His command - yet we must remember that Jesus came to fulfill the law. The law was made to show the children of Israel that they needed a Savior because they could not follow the law perfectly. That's why Jesus died for us. However, that does not give us the green light to sin. Because Christ died for us we want to follow Him and He tells us to follow His (the Father's) commandments. So yes, following God's commandments is good.

the ten commandments, and the the remainder of the regulation, make up the previous covenant. This covenant became between God and the youngsters of Israel. No others could be a social gathering to it till they underwent circumcision. Exodus 34:28 And he became there with the LORD 40 days and 40 nights; he did neither consume bread, nor drink water. And he wrote upon the tables the words of the covenant, the ten commandments. Deuteronomy 4:13 And he declared unto you his covenant, which he commanded you to accomplish, even ten commandments; and he wrote them upon 2 tables of stone. This covenant is almost a settlement, and Paul makes use of a marriage settlement to describe it in Romans 7. Christians have been in no way a social gathering to that covenant. As with such covenants, the dying of the two social gathering ends the covenant. Jesus became the God of the previous covenant, and died on the pass, as a effect ending that covenant. The Jewish Christians have been additionally defined as death to that covenant with the aid of baptism, so as that they could be free of that covenant with the intention to pass into into the hot covenant immediately with Christ. in case you have any further questions be at liberty to touch me. .

1 John 5:3 For this is what the love of God means, that we observe his commandments; and yet his commandments are not burdensome.

Isaiah 48:17 This is what Jehovah has said, your Repurchaser, the Holy One of Israel: “I, Jehovah, am your God, the One teaching you to benefit [yourself], the One causing you to tread in the way in which you should walk. 18 O if only you would actually pay attention to my commandments! Then your peace would become just like a river, and your righteousness like the waves of the sea.

yes, following God's commandments is always the right thing to do. God never changes, he is the same as he has been always.
John 15:
[9] As the Father hath loved me, so have I loved you: continue ye in my love.
[10] If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love.

God has not changed, as Malachi brought out. His commandments for humans are perfect, so it would behoove us to follow such loving provisions. But you have a choice, either follow his commandments or suffer the consequences. It sounds a bit harsh, but that's how it is.
So, a wise person follows his commands, as they are not burdensome.

God can not change.

Gods commandments try to show us the types of things that disturb our peace. If we are to have peace and contentment in this life, then we must follows His commandments to the best of our ability.

Fundamentally, if it is wrong, don't do it.

This I believe;

The Bible says He is the same always. He does not change, He must want us to keep His commandments, or He would not have given them to us.
