i hope not. Because ALL the people in the US are contributing to the economy. Just think of the monetary implications it would have on the stock market and economy. It scares me

I sure hope so, but how hard will it be to round up over 12 million kicking and screaming illegal aliens in the USA to deport back to their own country?Maybe after a fence or wall is built they should deport them, what good would it do to send them back when all they have to do is walk right back.

No. But some already are being targeted. My mother-in-law just told me that the guy who was going to do brick-work around her cousins house got deported along with a whole lot of people living in the same house in Monterrey Park, CA. That is just one story I've heard.

It would be quite an undertaking if approached up front. But if we (USA) were to make it a felony to be in this country illegally, these folks would be picked up one at a time, and slowly brought to justice and removed from our country over time. Just as they came in over time) That's the idea of that approach I think.
The smart approach is to give them all a chance to come forth and legaly pay their fees/penalty and start the process including having current employer guarantee (be financially respnsible for the alien parties/employees.) their healthcare and good standing as employees. If this status changes, out they go. But they could reapply to gain entry legally. If they could stay legally clean for 10 years, speak English, show work and tax records, etc; They are in. Worker programs, allowing folks that only want to work here are excluded, as long as the worker is here legally and leaves the country every year or so and keeps up dated properly on work visas. If they are caught not taking advantage of this "window of honesty" and picked up on some other infraction, drunk and disorderly, DUI, ofther traffic violations, crimes of any nature: out they go, never to return or be allowed legal admittance. If they are caught again, they are put into prison as felons and enemies of the State. (Treated as terrrorists?)

I say if they are here then they are here put them in a card board box and slap them with a phone cable tax, and electric bill.
It is definitely a shame they don't pay taxes for the first five years they are here before they are citizens.

No.Big business wants the slave labor and will pay off Uncle Sam to keep them here,no matter how much it ruins the country and endangers the legal citizens.

Unlikely. I bet there are crackdowns on those who already have deportation orders and on those with criminal ties, however.

No but we can do a better job at stopping them from coming over and enforcing the law.

I think that most illegals will leave on their own once we get serious about enforcing our immigration laws.
