I been dating my boyfriend for a while. i always wanted a guy to surprise me by proposing... we live together talkign about buying a house, but he has never mention marriage,

you shouldn't ask. just talk to him about it. i tried it and it kinda freaked my boyfriend out. don't worry the time will come when it's ready.

Well...how old are you, anyway?? You can't "get" a boyfriend to propose without being manipulative and coy...very unattactive traits. Why not just lay it on the line?? Straight. Tell him you want to marry and see what he says..Could be he has no intention of marrying you. Are you aware that many, many men and women are waiting until their 30's to get married. More mature and realistic notions re: marriage and what it entails. Think about it.

You want him to do it because he wants to. Try not to rush him, or appear needy. That is not to say you can't drop a few subtle hints. Look at jewelry websites, order catalogues from jewelers, let him catch you reading bridal magazines, but don't buy them, it would be too obvious. You are a woman, let him know what you want without saying it directly.

HEy it's ok he will do it on his own eventually. He's thinking about it though don't you worry he's just thinking it over first you know.
don't ask him directly about marriage slowly get to it like ask him do you want to be with me for ever?, or, where would be your favoret place to go on a honeymoon?
