Did you not specify to your hairdresser what you wanted her to do? Were you not watching when she pulled out her scissors?

Sorry about your lost 2 inches, but you are responsible for your hair and expressing your desires. Just hope it grows quickly over the next 2-1/2 months of summer so that maybe you have those 2 inches back by the time September rolls around and school starts again.

Firstly you need to think exactly what you said to the hairdresser when you went in. Was it "just a trim please" or was it "I want about this much off" and you indicated with your hand.

If it was the first then you're in luck. You can go back to the hairdressers and ask to speak to the manager. Tell her you only wanted a trim and you ended up with 2 inches off. Tell her you are not happy with it as you were growing it out, and you know there's nothing that can be done about it, other than for you to get your money back and tell her you'll settle for that.

However, if you said "ooh I want about so much off" then its her word against yours, the salon will probably side with the hairdresser. Sorry. Hope I helped. But you should definitely go back and try to get your money back.

Nothing. In your spare time play with, pin it, tease it, spike it, wrap it, try all things to get the best look out of it. It'll grow back but next time do pay attention. Then you might want to ask her. Sometimes a hairstylist does the best for hair (even though she still should have consulted you in the matter) for the hair to grow evenly and healthier. To ease your mind just ask.

First, never, ever allow someone near you with a pair of scissors without first telling them what you're after! I don't care how many times you've been to that person, they should always ask you what you want to do. If they don't, then speak up!

As for growing it out, you'll just have to be patient. If you had a lot of bad ends (splits, breakage, etc.) she may have done you a favor as healthy hair looks a lot better and can grow faster.

Well,

You can go back to the salon and complain to the manager for starters. This will most likely get you a refund or a gift certificate for next time you visit.

I watched a girl on Judge Judy a while back ago who successfully sued the salon for damages (however, I wouldn't reccomend that).

You, as a customer, have a right to get the product or service you paid for and only what you paid for.

first let your stylist know she needs to ask u b4 she cuts your hair even if she thinks you need your split ends cut. Second hair, skin and nails vitamins with high Biotin content, they work really well for growing your hair out fast. You just have to be consistent with takeing them 3 times a day.

Maybe it needed to be cut. It will take 4 months for it to grow the 2" back.

Well, I'm not the kind of person who gets her hair cut alot but I would tell her it's your hair she's working with, and you prefer if she would just do it the way u want. If she deosn't copperate, ... go get a new hairstylist, u should get what YOU want not what your stylist want

Outside of making complaint to the management of the place where this was done and vowing to never let this individual work on you again--there is precious little that you can do---nothing is going to undo whats been done--you just have to learn from this experience and remember to stay very aware when you are in someone else's care of what is being done--much irretrievable damage can be done in an instant by someone who thinks they have licenses to make such decisions arbitrarily----Sorry--Better Luck From Here--OK ???
