Eat right
Exercise
Check out lipodissolve.
With bi-pass your stomach capacity is left so small you actually eat about the equivalent of a jar of baby food at a time.
It is serious surgery.

I think that they reason people won't do that kind of surgery unless you are significantly overweight is because some (not all) people that think they need to lose weight just really need to tone up and eat better. You best bet is to make sure that you eat 3 times a day (it will help with your metabolism) and try to do things on a daily basis that will give you exercise even if it is just parking and the back of the parking lot at Wal-Mart. Most people think that diets and exercise are the best way to do, but usually they try to stop eating as much and that can actually hurt you. If you just stop eating 3 times a day or only eat one big meal then it slows your metabloism which will just cause you to gain your weight back.

It's a serious surgery that is only for those who can't lose weight on their own due to health problems. If you're just overweight, stop being lazy and change things. Start eating more fruits and veggies, stay away from processed sugars and fried foods, and cut down on your portions. Exercise at least three times a week for thirty minutes each time. Stop drinking sodas and replace it with water and green tea.

I look into the surgery when I was about 65 lbs overweight and found that you need to be at least 100 lbs overweight to have the surgery.

gastric bypass is only used for severly obese people due to it being dangerous and having occasionaly severe side effects. if you want to lose a couple pounds the best way is bascially exercise and a healthy diet.- ive found that eating foods without labels is the best way for healthy eating- fresh fruits, vedgies, meats/ meat substitues. good luck !

Yes you do. It's a last resort and doctors would have to be sure that everything else had been tried first.
