I'm not a drinker, but everytime when i drink i will feel extra alert but also very tired. What is happening?

alcohol can act as a stimulant and a depressant. after you drink several drinks you may feel sleepy, but after you sleep for an hour or two you will feel wide awake and unable to go back to sleep. Alcohol actually is classified as a depressant drug probably the alert feeling you get immediately is a buzz and short lived

that's what happens when chemicals of alcohol are mixed with the chemicals in your body! Have fun little one!

Depends on how much do you drink. When you stop drinking is when you feel sleepy.
