I just had to drink about 2 cups of Barium for an X-ray this morning and I'm wondering if there are any calories in it and how many.

Believe me it won't stay in your system long enough to matter! I hope you don't stray too far from the loo. There must be some kind of digestive difficulties to have you go through such a procedure, I hope that it isn't due to an "eating disorder". Every body is beautiful.

No....there is nothing in barium that gets digested. That is very much the point.

it has no calories, but might i suggest that you start drinking water NOW in an effort to get it out of your system.

In my experience if you do not drink enough liquids to flush it from your system, it can cause extremely painful constipation.
