I don't think it is like that. I think that many of us get ideas, sometimes like news flashes that can seem like someone put the idea there, but I just don't like the idea that someone else is directing the show. I can better get behind the idea that I am...ok

I think that we are in our true essence more "energy beings" part of the Universal Energy and in that sense, I can see "children of God". I can kind of see that I am the physical representation that my higher (energy) self requires to learn a specific lesson here on Earth. I feel that through my thoughts I am still "connected" to "home" and that is how I can direct my progress and path here. So rather than being spoken to by someone else, I feel like I am more talking to myself.

Great question! Thanks!

Yes he does speak to me.
No I do not hear an audible voice or anything like that. I do however will hear him by reading the bible, going to church, talking to fellow Christians, and by a feeling from his spirit in me. It is so amazing how if say I am having financial troubles or something that every time I go to church they are talking about financial things or when I turn on the radio the program will be about the same thing. Last year I was ill and every time I turned around I would hear about how God is a mighty healer and to believe in him. The same goes for the Bible I will read something that fits in with my life EVERY time!

We have the completed Word and there is nothing that can be added or taken away. The only way God speaks to anybody today is thought His Word. Romans 10:11 For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.

yes, I'm not crazy or anything but I belive he has spoken to me before. here's a story: my friends a missionary/youth worker an she was working on this estate. She met these boys one was 15 and one was 9. She was telling them about god and stuff and the 9 seemed really hesitant. the 15 didn't give a hoot at all. But a week later when they saw her again, the 15 year old still didn't care but the 9 year old called himself a christian. She asked him why he changed his mind. he said he saw jesus, when he was going to bed one night. And jesus told him that he was loved etc. My friend said what was he like. And the 9 year old broke down and said he was beautiful.
He was 9 and 9 year olds don't often say beautiful to describe things.
If that's not seeing God, I dunno what is.

Not until I've had my coffee, if he knows what's good for him! No, seriously now, on occasion I have experienced some divine inspirations. Obviously, I don't feel the Holy Spirit is without humor.

Yes.
However not in a mysterious manner.
God put everything he wanted me to know for the time being
...in a book.
I read the book, I find out God's thoughts.
The book is called the Bible.
Its not as exciting as hearing voices or "just knowing in your heart" but it appeals to logic and reason.

Yes, through my toaster. Unfortunately, I spend so little time in the kitchen that I miss most of it. However, my cat Poppy, who's a hungry hippo type and always checking her food bowl, takes most of it down for me.
