If you want to bbq without going outside, here's an easy recipe for chicken
2 lb chicken pieces, such as breasts, legs, etc.
1 bottle of bbq sauce, like KC masterpiece
2 cloves garlic crushed
1 tsp basil, fresh or dried
1 tsp soy
1 spoonful of honey
1 spoonful of mustart
In a pot boil the pieces of chicken for 15-20 minutes.
Remove chicken and place on baking sheet.
In a bowl add the bbq sauce and remaining ingredients.
Spoon the sauce over the chicken pieces. Bake for 20 minutes at 325 degrees. Turn chicken over and baste with more sauce. Bake for another 20 minutes or until cooked.
If you wish to bbq on a grill, take the boiled chicken and place on grill. Baste with sauce, grill for 15 minutes, turn over and baste again with sauce. Grill for 20 minutes
Chicken is done when you pierce the pieces with a fork and juices run clear.

If you are looking for side dishes I normally grab a Kraft Italian pasta kit and some Italian dressing. It's good and quick and easy. My husband recently grilled hamburgers and before he took them off he brushed BBQ sauce on top of them before he added the cheese. They were good.

I like the brats idea except that I do them different. Cook them on the grill until they are done , you know browned and have juices dripping out where the skins are cracking. Then remove from grill place in a pan full of beer. This pan is placed on grill, it keeps brats warm and does not allow them to dry out or overcook. Do not worry the alcohol from beer will evaporate quickly

Worcestershire and some seasoning in burgers.
Slow cook chicken or pork and baste often.
Slice steak and marinate first, like London broil.
Thin 1/4" strips with some marinade, cooks in about three to four minutes too.
Teryaki is good taste on grilled food, veggies too like peppers, onions, tomato wedges, shrooms.

Brats: Boil the brats in a big pot. The pot should be filled with beer, water, and onions. Depending on the number of brats or the size of the pot you should fill at least one-third to one-half of the pot with beer. Place the brats in the pot and fill the rest with water to cover the brats. Get an onion and cut it up. Put at least half or more of the onion in the pot. Let boil for about 15-25 min. Place on grill for about 1 min per side, this is just to brown them. Surve on a bun.

make your own burgers. Just mix mince with a little breadcrumbs and an egg then press into burger shape and grill.
Also bananas- grilled (with peel still on) are lovely with ice cream.
A little more complicated- but impressive- cut tuna steaks (fresh) into small dice, and bind the small pieces with tartar sauce then grill. yum yum!
