Can she lead a happy normal pain free life? Does she need surgery? Can she still be sold? Does it hurt? I love her so I only want her to be happy.

as long as it has closed off you have no worries. Have it removed when you spay her. If it hasn't closed off she will need surgery. It doesnt hurt. and yes she can be sold but the new owner needs to know if it is closed or not and what to do about it.

Usually they need surgery. How did you get a five-week old puppy? That's very young for a pup to be taken from its mother and littermates - 8 weeks is the norm.

surgery will be fine. I hope you are the breeder, otherwise you should not have a 5 week old pup.

Most of the time these will heal on their own, just keep a close eye on it and if it don't heal the vet will advise you on what to do.

get the vet to check but most of the time it is dealt with when they are spayed. no big deal. umbilical hernias are not that uncommon.
