Morning is not such a great time to any excercise. It is the time when your energy levels are at the lowest, your blood flow is at the lowest, your muscles stiffest. The muscles loosen up over the day. Stiff muscles of the morning make it the more injury prone. But, some people may still find it better.
Evening work outs are best according to me, as your energy levels will be high, as you have been working the whole day (yes, even though you are dead tired, half hour more you do have strength for). But schedule the evening excercise at least three hours before your sleep time. You should excercise on an empty stomach (only water) or at least two hours after eating food. Excercising right after eating food, causes you to cramp.
Whether you make it morning or evening or late afternoon(best), make a habit of it and that is the best thing to do.

The best time is in the morning. after a small breakfast with carbos.
Keep lots of water on hand and eat protien.
You should stagger your work out. some days do weight training and others do cardio. After a month or so - change it around. Your body will get used to the routine an it will start to platue out.
Keep it fresh and new each month with different emphasis on certain body parts and use a variety of machines. Good luck :)

It is best to do cardio, in the morning, before eating.
Also, it's ok to do some ab exercises right after cardio before you eat. It's been my experience that working abs on an empty stomach works better, especially for crunches. I notice I can get a deeper crunch and burning sensation when I don't feel full.

The morning before eating.
A good cardio will increase your metabolism for the rest of the day and help you loose weight even after you stop. However, it can keep you awake if you do it shortly before bedtime.
You should eat afterwards to replace your blood sugar levels. Low blood sugar leads to cramping which can become severe. Gator or Power Aid is great. Extensive hot work-outs like championship tennis may demand salt replacement. Some atheletes drink pickle juice to replace these electrolites.
Drinking lots of water is essential and can prevent kidney and/or liver damage.
I just took my daughter into the hospital to have I.V.'s for water and salt replacement after she became dehydrated. We had blood tests run before and after. We also visited with many professionals regarding this issue. Keep hydrated and have something to eat during (high sugar) if it is a long work-out and afterwards to prevent low blood sugar. But water is critical.

I also say the morning, it wakes you up and give you energy for the rest of the day. I think you should have some fruit in the morning before you work out, but do make sure you eat a healthy breakfast afterwards.

usually in the morning b/c your body will be operating at a higher level for next several hours. you should eat something within the first 60mins after your workout, such as a powerbar, sport drink, banana, bagel, etc... to minimize soreness and replenish your muscles. only thing bad about exercising in the morning is that your body is usually not up and running, so warm up will take a little longer and you might feel a bit more tired during the workout than say you did it in the afternoon when your body has waken up and going.

The time to do cardio is when you feel you have the most energy. If it is in the morning before breakfast then do it then.

Sometimes it's better to do it in the morning. Usually a couple hours after you wake up. If you choose to do it to late in the day your body may not have time to cool down before going to bed and you could throw off your sleep pattern. However if you do it in the late morning or early afternoon your bodywill have plenty of energy all day and have time to cool down before bed time.
