It depends on where your from and where they got arrested. Like in Hillsborough County FL there is a website you can visit, all you need to know is their first and last name and possible birthdate and you should be good to go. I'm not sure for any other states or counties.. You can alwayz call the local police department or the county jail system, but they don't give you too much info.

You can run a background check for the person if you have a social security number. You can run a search for "background check" on the internet, it runs anywhere from 20-60 dollars to do one. Make sure that the check checks the courthouse of the county from where the person lived while a crime might have been committed. The courthouse has the best information.

Visit your county sheriff's web site or do a Yahoo search for 'arrest inquiry' and type in your county and state. Some counties do not offer that information for free online, though. Like smaller, less populated counties. But the more populated counties usually offer that on their web site.

Melissa,
If you can return to your question and edit it with the state and county in which you believe the person was arrested then I will provide you with the link to this information.

Call the local police station in the city where they were arrested. Those records are public information.
