wow, what a loaded question for me. let me say that I was raised catholic, and after getting married I decided to be primitive baptist, and we were that for 9 years. its a lil small church, and for 9 years, I kept feeling like this church was so full of hypocrites, but that is where the inlaws went and all of the husbands family, and I knew I wanted my kids to be involved in church. Needless to say God showed us the way , about 3 years ago, life changed for us, my husbands job filed bankruptcy, and I made a bad decision to work at night as a bartender, then stripper, eventually I got into drugs and so did my husband, we lost cutody of the kids and from that we got clean, and have been now for 2 1./2 years...from that at a primitive baptist church , they ask you to admit your wrongs before the whole church...well needless to say in 9 years we had never heard anyone do this, but we thought the right thing to do would be admit our wrongs before the church......well let me just say the reception was not very warm, these "Godly" people turned their backs on us and judged us and basically condemed us to "hell"! I dont know even know why I expexted more. we got excluded from membership at this church. Yes our feelings were hurt, but it was God doing for us , what we could not do for ourselves.Today we attend a methodist church, and the whole church knows we are recovering drug addicts , and they welcome us with open arms, and sometimes introduce us to others who may be struggling with something like what we have been through. it is awesome to be able to go there and be who you are, with little or no judgement, I now feel a part of , and i know I am where God wants me to be.

The true definition of "the Church" is the entire realm of Christians. A Christian is one who has admitted his sins to God, asked for forgiveness of those sins, realized that he has no power to atone for those sins and accepted Christ's gift of salvation.

As a Christian, I have never felt excluded from the Church( the Church in the sense I just explained) but I have felt left out on a social level within the Church. It is bad when Christians forget that all people are equal in the sight of God and begin to get the "better than thou" syndrome and start ignoring or leaving out other people.

16% of world is non-religious where in 8% is theistic but not part of organized. So roughly 8% -16% feels exluded or choose to exclude the church structure by my logic.

Not to mention history...religious persecution leading to new religious church structure. So the numbers are probably much higher but this seems like a good min estimate.

In large churchs it's hard for me to feel close to everyone, and on the same level, I now go to a smaller church on sundays and on thrusdays go to what is called house church were we meet at a house and have dinner, sing and have a bible study and i love that. If you mean exculded from the corprate church I can understand that but you are always welcome into God's holy church, the bible even says we are the church the church isn't a building we the people are the church, COOL I'M A CHURCH!

Millions of people are rejected by churches because you don't believe their teachings and won't change your beliefs to make them happy. You wouldn't want to belong to the Jehovah's Witnesses, Scientology, Mormons, Moonies, Christian Science, Freemasonry, Ku Klux Klan, Hare Krishna, Boston Church of Christ, Unity School of Christianity, Church Universal and Triumphant, Unitarian Church, People's Temple, Heaven's Gate, Branch Davidians, Way International, Aum Shinrikyo or Warren Jeff's Fundamentalist Church whether they wanted you or not. Or would you?

By the church, are you talking about Catholics? The Christian church should not make you feel that way unless you go there to disrupt. try an Assemblies of god church, or Pentecostal Holiness or non Denominational church. I wish you the best, god loves you.

God created humans to glorify Him. If you go to church expecting to have your opinions validated or just to get something out of the 'experience' you might be disappointed. If you go to a Bible teaching church and you go to worship and glorify God and not yourself, and are there to serve God and not yourself, your experience will be more positive. And remember - Satan wants to keep everyone out of church and deceived - so if you are uncomfortable in church - he just may be trying to get you out of there. The Bible tells us that Satan is the father of all lies and has come to kill, lie and destroy. Church is about a relationship with God, Jesus, the Holy Spirit and other believers and Satan will do whatever it takes to stop you.

Todays Church calls what you are speaking of "Spiritual Abuse".
But please understand that most of the time we ALLOW such negativity, instead of realizing that we are children of God.

We need not be offended when fellow Christians sin . We must realize that we are saved by grace only THROUGH Christ. It's like this: You have already received your crown, all you have to do is put it on your head...

We would all do better to know that we do not need to search for blessings from men...We are ALREADY blessed by the Most High

A church may exclude you, but Jesus never will.

shame on you for conserving such issues to a guy who decided in route of religion. have you ever concept that there ought to correctly be particular issues in his existence that he needs the lords help with that doesn't inevitably contain you? One time of going to church isn't reason sufficient so that you'll be able to act as if he became sinning. If it maintains, in basic terms ask him in case you need to bypass with him next time. He ought to locate it clean, because from the sounds of it, you need to properly be between the excuses that he is going by ability of himself. Get a grip. he's not any longer slumbering consisting of your mom or sister is he? you quite have allot of growing to be as a lot as do.
