Wait the recommended time period before taking any additional pain medications (over the counter or otherwise). In the meantime, if you regularly consume caffeine and have not had any this morning, this may be the cause of your headache. Also, try allowing a peppermint to dissolve in your mouth. The scent of the mint can ease a headache, and the ingestion of the mint may prevent and/or relieve nausea.

Usually. the source of my headache is that I haven't been drinking enough water recently. Ideally, we should all be drinking 2-3 litres of it a day. I try my best and since then, I havent't experienced a severe headache! Which is pretty good because I'm a student and need to be studying daily..
Also, try having a nap. When you wake up, you feel a lot more refreshed and hopefully, that headache would have eased down.

here are a few good things that are worth a try...take a warm bath...have sex/ masterbate( get rid of tension), eat some ice cream really fast( reverse the head ache), rest, use medicated nose spray ( my tryed and true remedy), massage the inside of your hand between the thumb and pointer finger from both sides of your hand. take tylenol wait an hour and take motrin it will not o.d you and to are always better than one

try to kick an old lady or throw a melon off a high rise...that always relieves my tension headaches...

If you are stressed, stay cool.
If you smoke, drink diet pop or take drugs, STOP!
Finally, drink as much water as you can.

turn a fan on to cool off, turn off any noise, and sleep with a cool wash cloth, it helps me everytime
