Religion is a profound and deep thing - that is why there is so much interest in this category. Each religion has it's devotees who have been so moved by the depth and beauty of the religion that they feel compelled to spread the word - and thus the religion was born or made more popular. So, yes, each and every religion is as deep and meaningful as Christianity.
Imagine this. God has this awesome story to tell to help all his children on the planet, but they are scattered around a widely varying planet. So he kind of sets up a travelling show where he goes around from area to area and picks out local folks for characters and tailors the events and rules to the specific area. He is telling the same story, but in different languages, as it were. They are all the same essence, the same base, the same wonder and awe. None is more true, none is false - all Religions are just versions of the same Universal Truth.

Christianity is great when it isn't paying back for imagined hurts, self serving and power hungry. It's better when it doesn't blame others for calamities, plagues, and sexual orientation. When they aren't getting tax exempt status while preaching politics, which is against the Constitution, and when they give up the idea that Jesus was white, and there is one best religion. When they accept that humans founded religion for humans
and for themselves and accept some of the silly stories are false but human error. There is no real or imagined one person who speaks to God and it is the only aisle to life after death. Please no rants.

Let this be an answer to the wealth of knowledge that you seek. You sound like a real deep and meaningful human being with no personality. You're projecting your insecurities on to Christianity. Poor little dude.

Religion is not only the way of worshipping GOD. It's a way of life wich if followed can help you to feel a pure joy filled in whole world. Certainly, it differs according to each person. No prophet has ever tought to setup a reliogion. Neither Jesus nor Mohammed, neither Shankaracharya(Hinduism) nor Buddha had ever wanted to form a religion. I, myself is Hindu, but I don't think it's a religion, it is an element of our prosporous ancient culture.
So all religions in world tought us one thing "PEACE". Peace of mind is only thing for which we can afford to pay whatever it costs.

Yeah, I agree. I stay in united states, and that i comprehend plenty about Christianity. unusual pondering i'm a Hindu. there is not some thing stunning about Christianity, take care of all adult adult males both, some mattress time morals we were given besides by memories with assistance from our mom and father, yet no authentic philosophy. that is why I follow Hinduism each and each and every of ways.

If you are a true "Christian" and have a close relationship with God, I think you will find differently. Religion is what you make of it. My religion is deep and meaningful to me, but I couldn't find that for myself in Christianity. What's good for the goose might not be good for the gander.

from reading the Bible I conclude the christian god is a bit of a git. the Shinto god has no wrath, omnipotence omni-presence and is not separated from man through sin. this god sounds way more pleasant

well, no. you're looking at it in simplistic terms.
the whole point isn't that god wants you (when i say you its referring to all people) to worship him. god just wants you to stop being an asshole and just admit that you're not the most important thing in the world. he also wants you to respect your fellow man.
i think if there was a god he'd be tired of seeing us kill each other and think we're the sh*t.

You have a very skewed/distorted perception of the Christian faith. Worshipping God is a response, which is only produced from a heart of faith...
