Yes, there is such a thing as "spirituality". What of the Taoists, Buddhists, Shintoists? They are deeply spiritual people. :-)

I am a spiritual atheist. :-) My spirituality exists for me, within. You just have to feel it, and follow your personal ethics and morals that work best for you that won't harm anyone or infringe on others' rights.

Spirituality is a bit like religion (but it isn't)---you have to do your research, and decide for yourself what you believe in and what you don't. You have to take responsibility for your own beliefs....meaning no one else can tell you what to believe or what to think.

There are various thoughts about what genuine spirituality is. Yet, your spiritual condition does have an impact on your physical and mental health. When we feel tired and discouraged in our service to God, could it be because the pursuit of material things is smothering our spirituality? This possibility is very real, as indicated by Jesus’ illustration of the sower. Jesus compared “the anxieties of this system of things and the deceptive power of riches and the desires for the rest of the things” to thorns that “make inroads and choke” the seed of God’s word in our hearts. (Mark 4:18, 19) Sometimes what complicates our lives is, not the pursuit of more things, but what we do with the things we already have. Some may experience emotional fatigue as a result of challenging health problems, the loss of loved ones, or other distressing problems. Periodically, we can all benefit from taking inventory of our habits and possessions and putting off every unnecessary weight. Here are some things to practice to maintain spirituality:
Finally, be ye all of one mind, having compassion one of another, love as brethren, be pitiful, be courteous: 1 Peter 3:8

Spirituality is pure consciousness. We develop a need for it when we are deluded about reality, if live our lives through the eyes of someone else, or live an inauthentic life in any way.

Thus the road to true spirituality is to practice consciousness, then practice accepting what you find there. Reality.
Your true and honest relationship with existence is the highest point. This takes practice and focus of your mind. And supportive friends and family.

Good friends tell you the truth about you kindly. They are most valuable asset you can have.
To have friends and family discourage you on your path of enlightenment makes things that much harder to practice.
It's like hanging a round fat people if you want to become thin again. They will always attempt to trip you up, because of their own overwhelming needs.

Spirituality is real. It isn't the same as religion. Religion is something one practices. Spirtuality is about relationship with God. You are spiritual if you are in a relationship with God and others can see it through your actions.
