Wow, you are going to open up a hornet's nest with this one!
My Daughter goes to a public school, my wife was very careful and looked at all of them. The one she goes to still has a full time art teacher and music teacher as well. Now a days with all of the tax cuts, the schools suffer the most.
Most private schools also have a religous connection associated with them and we didn't want our child being taught a religion that we didn't believe in.
There are still some good public schools out there and you may have to check into them ahead of time but for us it's been worth it.
I can't wait to see some of the responses you get from this one.

IT is all in you $$$ economic situation if you can affrod private then go for it, but if not public school is just fine, there is nothing wrong to attend 2 a public school. You are the parent & just make sure that if you decide 2 send him/her private yu will have 2 do it for at least 4 years & after thet what??? will you be able to continue w/ private or change to public school. This a changes that might or might not affect a child. But think about it ,I personally can say even if i had $$$ 2 send my kids 2 private I will still choose PUBLIC school. GOOD luck deciding the best for your child...:)

Either school is good, and don't leave out the home school parent sessions, start when they are young. Socialization is the big thing now for young minds. Read a book on Early Child Education, there is a ton of literature on the Web, and new stuff is coming out on activities for children.
Believe me an ounce of prevention is a pound of cure. What you do when they are young really blossoms later. Allow your children to have friends, good and bad ones, plan activities with other parents, and get out there and do it. You'll have fun too.
Try this: Get a professional nanny for a few days of the week or hire a private pre-school teacher. I believe both parents need to take part. It's not so difficult, but both need to arrange schedules with the children. The nanny and teacher is 80% for the parents and 20% for the children. Don't forget.

Public. I would have HATED being in private school. Of course, if I had started in private school, maybe I wouldn't have cared growing up in it. I think in order for kids to have a "normal" life they need to be in public school.

Since my son has attended school he has always gone to private. i like private because it provides afternoon activities and extended daycare if i need it. Also the schools are usually more willing to provide extra help and activities for the children.
The only draw back is the expense of sending them. I wish it was cheaper, but you know I went to private school and I was ahead of my class. I learned a lot more. Plus they also provide some church and I like that.

Private if you can afford it. Public schools don't teach your kid to think outside the box. Also most kids who attend private school have parents who care about their education, other wise they wouldn't bother.

For the student, deepest college is so a lot more suitable funds. self-discipline is likely also more suitable desirable, considering that they could kick a pupil out for misbehavior. you are able to also get a school adapted for your needs (if it exists on your section). the point of education ought to correctly be a lot more suitable desirable, searching on the established public colleges on your section. also, you need to get your own transportation. the faculty is likely smaller; this may translate to fewer electives and activities opportunities. For instructors, i do not comprehend, yet i am going to guess. try to be fired more suitable quite (the flexibility to get rid of lower than-appearing instructors is between the excuses deepest colleges are frequently more suitable desirable); lecture room self-discipline is more suitable reachable; in case you've more suitable selection in identifying on and imposing curriculum. do you need to pay union dues?
