Oh Lord. First of all, you make it NOT AN OPTION!!!
Honey, you're a parent not an advisor. You tell him that he is getting help, period. I don't care whether he wants it or not.
If a casual approach is taken with children because parents either 1-are afraid to discipline 2-are afraid to parent and just want to be their kids friend, You're going to have problems.
Parents have to parent and no parent wants to hear it but I don't care, it's a parent's responsibility.
Now step up and tell your son that he's getting help and make an apointment with someone right away, unless you want to plan a funeral.

i know you really don't want to hear this but read it anyway maybe it will help:
1) if you know a cop see if he would be willing to take you son and show him what happens to people who did use it before they got lock down on them for life.
2) take him to those rehab centers and make him talk to the people that used it and let him see how their life is wasted, because they used it.
3) or you can even take him to the hospital and see if they will show him what the inside of a persons body looks like after they have died from using.
4) also tell him that if he doesn't stop that he has to leave because you will not have that in you house ever. and tell him that he has to choose his family or the speed. tell him if he chooses it then you will have nothing more to say to him.
I KNOW YOU ARE TAKING A CHANCE HERE WITH THIS ONE.
i know it will not be easy to do, but you have to do what ever it takes to get him to stop. even if it means scaring the H*LL out of him.
GOOD LUCK

Sometimes its hard to help someone who doesnt want help. But just let him know your their and want to help. He probably thinks hes cool and his friends think his cool for doing speed. Its dangerous grounds right now just give him breathing space and just let him know how your feeling about it. Jail is a bad opion because most of them in their do the drugs as well and will only learn new things. Find something else he likes to do alot and puss him toward it a little at a time.

The most effective way I believe would be to find a Officer that you know you can confide in....and have him to speak with him about the consequences.....or take him by a rehab clinic....some times the "real life results" will give him an eye opener for him.....
God Bless...I'll be praying for you.

If he's under the age of 18, you can probably have him admitted against his will to an in-patient rehab facility for young people.
