Good for taking him to another doctor. Why do doctors think having diareah run out of your diaper 4 times a day is normal.Don't listen to the doctor here. You are his mother an are with him all the time. You know what is normal and Be confident in your insticts. He may have picked up a bug he just can't shake. He may need anitbiotics to help. Good luck to you and your son. Just make sure you give him plenty of water so he doesn't dehydrate. And try some desitine original (not the creamy)on his bottom.

I have a son the same age and he went through that a while back. Turns out he was simply taking in too much sugar. My 5 year old daughter went through that at 3 years old too. We never found out what caused hers, but she came out of it in a couple of weeks. In the mean time, we kept diaper rash creams on her bottom so it didn't burn too bad. We bathed her constantly so that her diaper rash didn't hurt so bad.
With her, we went to 3 different doctors to figure something out. During that time, she was tested for the following things:
The stool bugs that were previously mentioned
Allergies to dairy, peanuts, wheat, soy, and various other food allergies
And every type of indoor and out door allergy you can think of
Have your doctor check all those things out.

Why do not people ever study the information in a unmarried's question? of route like you've reported, you're waiting to work out a professional!! have you ever tried eliminating dairy thoroughly? My pal suffers from IBS and he or she eradicated dairy thoroughly and her indications were alleviated. If he became formula fed and now on standard dairy this may properly be the criminal, quite if he poops are mucus like. Dairy should be fairly perplexing on the gut, even in adults. i'm hoping it fairly works out for you and also you get to a professional quickly. It doesn't make sense that professionals have any such waiting record, does it?

I agree with everyone else eliminate all dairy like yesterday. Give him some pedialyte to make sure he is well hydrated. Since you are his mom and you feel something is wrong follow your heart not the doctor. When my youngest had blood in her poo with diarrhea for 6 weeks then they decided to take her off soy. So you might want to try soy. However some children who are allergic to milk may also be allergic to soy as well. You might also want to discuss the option of taking him to a G.I that it might be something else. And most important the brat diet is so necessary to help diarrhea go away. Try to eliminate juice to..

okay...thsi must happen to me all the time it seems. And then they get bad diaper rash and all that stuff. The only thing you can do is wait it out. Try limiting his milk and juice. Give him pedialight or water. Give him foods that are starchy like noodles, crackers, bread. If the diaper rash is bad then he may need a special cream for that too.

Ask to have stool studies done. There can be bad bugs in his gut that are causing this kind of diarrhea. My son had the same thing and ended up with a C-Diff bug. He had to go on antibiotics to get rid of it.

If eliminating the dairy like others have suggested doesnt' work then look into a wheat allergy called Celiac disease. It is another possibility.
