take the first 20,000 we capture, send them to the mid-East. Give them a gun, and tell them if they fight for 6 months, then they can be US citizens. That should work.

Change the law so all entry is legal...
that would mean no illegals could enter...
but i am evading the question...
Best way is to bring economic systems into equality so there is no motivation to change countries to get a better job or get a job at all. Final solution is equal economic conditions all over the world. People will always try to better their life if they can.

By fixing Mexico. They keep saying how great Mexico's economy is, but apparently that's not quite the case, and I think most parties involved in the debate actually knew that, and have known it for a long time, now ,but kind of sweep that little factoid under the rug where no one has to look at it.
WHY does Mexico's economy consistently trail ours, and why are they letting everybody and their dog make a run for the border? Simple. Mexico doesn't want to undergo the same reforms that america's undergone over the years to make more opportunities and provide more freedoms for their people.
There's some rich people in Mexico, and a LOT of poor people.
The latter group, with some select, perhaps less savory members of the former group, are the ones bolting for the fence.
In one way, you can't blame em, but the whole situation's analogous to a neighbor that never takes care of his place, plays his music all night, does smoky burn-outs in front of YOUR house and basically dares you to do something about it all...
There's a cure for that, it's called 'more law enforcement'.
Problem: Bush wants to let the mexicans in. He thinks that's 'all right', having more and more people from mexico AND, to be fair, from other countries march right in to america. That's a pretty big problem, not only in the minds of bona-fide 3rd and 4th generation americans, anybody before that's pretty much dead and stuff, so they don't get to have a voice in this one, we're talking here and now, not what might or might not have happened back in 1539 when a sailboat smashed up on the beach or whatever. The 'right now' would strongly suggest that as with any mixture, the recipe for integration harmony rests with the speed with which this trend is carried forward. Almost any country you can look at today in the world is growing. There's 6.5 billion people walking around today, a 6-fold increase since about this time last century. Bush and his friends aren't just pro-immigration, they'd like to see an immigration TSUNAMI. Pretty ambitious, but is it realistic, and what kind of problems will develop as a result of foot-to-the-floor immigration? Bush is already experiencing a lot of backlash on immigration, but he's not solely to blame for the problem either. A good chunk of the problem is fomented by businesses that hire illegals with impunity, faking ID if/when necessary, looking the other way, that kind of thing, and without the job draws, there'd be no immigration wave, legal or otherwise.
I say 'fine holy hell out of businesses that hire illegals knowingly or in cases where there's a reasonable doubt as to the credentials of a person'(big tip-off there is a comfortable mastery of things like traffic laws and the english language), 'and go ahead and build a border worthy of the name' until Mexico finally undergoes all those painful reforms necessary to have it together in terms of offering better opportunities for their citizens, instead of just stuffing aid money from america and other countries in their pockets and whining 'gimme more'. We've given HUNDREDS of billions to mexico by now, time to find out where all that money went to, because it's apparently not going to help their people. That's a hallmark sign of corruption, and reform's the only cure for that, and the only protection against corrupt countries is doing something to choke back and limit interactions with them, so that there isn't a general eventual 'blending' to the point where you turn around one day, and realize that OUR system is too easily influenced by pressures from countries like Mexico. Caving or folding on the issue doesn't help mexicans either, because it lets the people that run their country kind of keep living in la-la land where they don't have to do anything pro-active to turn some of that stuff around. Corruption implies money though, someone somewhere is giving someone money to promote retaining the current status quo, be it BigFarm, Inc., or drug pushers or worse. Take care of some of that, and you'll be taking care of our country, too, by having a healthier, happier southern neighbor that can be a better partner in legitimate forms of business....and take care of their people, all in one package.
Maybe they should call it the Mexico Reform Council or something...

by setting up border control and making prospective americans prove why they want to be in this country. The illegals coming over illegally need to be gaurded by our military..
the ones that are already here should be made legal.

BUILD A FENCE. let mexico fix its own economic problems, offer to buy all the oil and natural gas they can produce. If they are such a hard working people produce something and sell it to the world, develop vacation resorts, utilize your natural resorces, just like the US did or figure out your own way I don't care just don't blame us for your failed system.

make them not want to leave their homes - more jobs and better standard of living will help. In the past every Indian wanted to come to America, now with opportunities in India and a good standard of living Indians are opting to go back to India. no one wants to leave their home to go to America unless there is a better life.
walls, soldiers, and laws will not keep them away

there isnt a good way to cuz we always find a way in whether its to build a wall we'll climb it, if its an electric fence we'll dig under it, whether its having lots of guard dogs by da border well out rum em, or even if its to put lots of guards there we'll beat da **** out of em.So u see watever u may try u will never win b/c of da fact dat we r better.we've been shot at, chased out and we r still here so u willl never get rid of us.
VIVE MEXICO!!!!!!!!!
