This is the first time I had highlights done on my hair, I don't really like them because I have to get it done again. What do you recommend I do next, retouch or die all one color? Will the highlights show through that one color? Do I have to bleach all my hair to do it? Please help!

You can get them re-done, but you're going to have to keep doing it over and over again and it's a bit of a pain. I've had them for years now and everytime i go to get them redone my hair gets lighter and lighter so that i went from a brunette to a blonde. You don't have to do this though. The highlights might show up a little bit if you get your hair dyed back to the color it used to be but it depends on how thick and bright your highlights are. If you can, get your hairdresser to use a kind of dye that doesn't fade easily- that should help. and no, you don't have to BLEACH your hair.. that would mean it would be bleach blonde. you probably don't want that.

What did the hair dresser do just highlights on top and some in the middle then you would need a touch up. But if they did a weave it is doing the whole process all over.

i detest hairstylists who do this to people!
your first highlite should be NATURAL looking. NOT so you have to have it done again in 2 weeks to a month. if the stylist would have done the hilite more subtle the first time you would be more inclided to have more done next time. now that the stylist put way to many hilites in you have to have it lowlited ( done with darker color).

this is really pssing me off, just so you know. how dare that stylist do that to you!!

lowlite with low volume developer and you REALLY need to learn how to take care of it now. moreso than ever before. sorry.

the less you shampoo the longer the darker color will stay in. towel dry after rinsing shampoo and before conditioner. comb wet hair, brush dry hair. if any balls are missing on your brush , get rid of it and get a denman brush. make sure there are no snaggs on your comb. if there are, get rid of it and get a wide toothed comb.

if you have more questions or want to B about your stylist, don't hesitate to contact me, please.

well i don't do ighlights i am a natural blonde! but..... if you do to many highlights or bleached, ordie that takes all the oil out of your hair and makes it less healthy and if you do it to much then it gets all dry and frizzy!! but depends on what color your hair is and what color the highlights are?? good luck!

If you don't really like them, just have you're hair dyed back to it's original color. That's what's going on/w me. I had to many hilights, though, so I had to dye my hair bck 2 brwn cuz i was tired of hilighting. Just, if you like them, get a more subtle shade, and if you don't, just dye your hair bck. GOOD LUCK!!!
