wrong from whose point of view?

most governments have strictly opposed the dissemination of pornography. historically pornography has always been associated with many other kinds of freethinking - both rabelais and the marquis de sade were radical political thinkers as well as being great pornographers.

even asking the question 'is pornography wrong' is the beginning of thinking for yourself.

people who disapprove of thought will always disapprove of pornography.

from their point of view - of course it's wrong.

Yes porn is wrong and let me tell you why. A lot of people have a misunderstanding of what porn actually is. When they think of porn, they think that it's nude images. Not necessarily because there are a lot of images that are out there that will intrigue our lust other than nude images. The definition for porn in the dictionary is any kind of image that is designed to bring sexual gratification to itself. It does not have to be a nude girl. It can be a girl in a bathing suit or a girl that is normally dressed. You have to understand the purpose behind it before you can judge what it really is. The entire purpose of porn is to create a sense of sexual gratification. That is the purpose. When you look at a girl and look at things that are sinful and wrong for you to look at, then you are committing porn right there and then. Porn is used for lust and we can lust after any kind of girl and it does not matter how she is dressed.

There's a big difference between nudity, erotica, and porn. I have no problem with any of them, I just personally don't like porn. And some porn can be very wrong, like with children, etc. But between consenting adults? No.

Yes. When u call it porn it is wrong. The beauty of the human body has been exploited and perverted by men for ages. Scripture says that if u even look at someone w/ lust then u commit adultery in your heart.

Yes. Here are some examples. 1 Corinthians states that : fornicators...would not inherit God's kingdom. King David got in serious trouble looking at Bathsheba bathing. Fornication is also considered "porneia" in Greek.

The bible would contradict itself if it allowed porn and then tell to flee from lust, sexual appetite. Porn is a sexual appetite and it creates within us an unbalanced view of women and men.

I look at it this way. Looking at Porn is something that could keep you from entering into the kingdom of God, so why risk it. Satan would rather have you look at porn and justify it in your mind as right.
So look to the bible for a complete answer.
Would Jesus look at porn? If he wouldn't, then we shouldn't.

Porn is completely different from real sex, and that's why it can be so harmful. Anyone expecting to have a relationship with their spouse where the sex is like it is in porn is going to be grossly dissappointed -- it could even jeopardise their relationship! This is why sex should be kept between two people, and why porn is dangerous.

Yes and no like most things its not that simple...

For one it depends if all those involved are willing like you would see in 'Boogie Nights' with Heather Graham, or things like 'Porn Week' on Bravo channel with the reality TV show about a holiday on a porn set...

It does not simply hurt the women involved... women like sex too. And in some cases its great for them as they were the ugly one nobody liked in school and now the one all the guys want.

Where those involved have fun, people are nice and its getting paid to get laid...

Certainly couple porn is not wrong at all... What better job could their be then getting paid to make out and make love with your loved one?

And research shows that in reality those into it are all sorts of guys, often the really nice but slightly lonley.

Often when guys meet porn stars they treat them like popstars...

More to the point I saw in an erotica exhibition (think exhibition for the porn and vibro industry) it was full of couples and mixed groups, the guys were lining up for autographs and photos taken with the porn stars and everyone was real nice.

Those who log in to www.voyeurdorm.com Think big brother in a sority with nudity encouraged... Most of those chatting with the girsl got to know them as friends they could admire the view with...

And for the guys its hard work not as fun as you think being a porn star...when you take into account how filming is with all the interruptions, lighting crew, surrounded by blokes and you have to get your equipment readdy, running, and shoting on cue over hours including the lunch break, make up breaks etc...

Not everyone is in a couple so porn is the next best thing, and often couples use it to spice things up and make their own.

Whats bad is anything involving animals, children, anyone non consentual, rape or violence...

By that I don't mean silly spanking and messing around but serious stuff.

Likewise human trafficing or sex slavoury is evil and a job for guantanimo bay and the security forces as they are very nasty people...

The complete oppisite of Playboy and related compnaies which have featured some of the nicest bosses and staff I have come accross, with bosses looking out for staff...Much nicer then other bosses.

So basically nothing wrong with nudity or sex, or getting paid (and making lots of money). Just the same rules apply to porn as everything else...

As long as people are not enslaved, forced, treated bad, all safety (porn stars sex lives are often much safer in relation to all the std checks and being careful or thats their career gone.) is observed...

Its fine...

Things like pole dancing are a great opportunity for girls to make lots of money and get fit, without it interfearing with studies or life.

You may have problems with jealous boyfriends and husbands... but you would as well if a popstar.

And its more healthy to be in a relationship or dating then on your own with a video all the time psychologically...

Thats the reality...

Go with nice companies not nasty ones.

Anything from the god squad and bible is rubbish... these are the guys responsible for segregated churches, being mean to nice gays and centuries of murdering the native americans, withces, free thinkers, sexists etc etc.

Looking at porn aint sexist... bnot giving a job to a woman is and whats immoral is not giving a job to or treating an ex porn model bad when she has not been mean to anyone.

Anything in excess is wrong. Porn is highly addictive, so without a slight moral taboo, it would run rampant. So I think it is wrong, but it is OK and in fact healthy to indulge in it every so often.

I guess i don't know. I mean I think it depends on what kinds of porn, the one with animals involved i think it unnatural and disturbing, Snuff films are immoral and how someone can get off on it is beyond me.
