My daughter is 4 months, and I bathe her every other day. Baby powder is not recommended at all. The babies inhale it and it is very bad for their lungs. I've never used it for my babies, and I've never needed to. Just remember that they don't do anything to get dirty, unless they're really pukey I guess. I bathed my son every day as a baby, and used an incredible amount of soap. I think back on it now and laugh. It's amazing his skin wasn't pealing off from being so dry...lol

Bath and power? I think u mean bathe and powder....
I say you should try only every other day for the bath, unless they are in need it will dry the skin out.
As far as powdering, I say you can powder after every diaper change to keep their bottom from getting to wet and help prevent baby from getting a rash.

No powder at all. Bad to breathe in. Bathe about 2 times a week and inbetween, wash his/her bottom with damp cloth since thats the part that really gets dirty.
Bathing everyday causes skin to dry out. Their is skin is alot more sensitive then ours.

I have a 4 month old and he gets a bath every night before bed. It helps to relax him and wind down from the day. I dont use powder. My doctor said no to use anything including creams and lotions unless he has a rash. She said it isnt good for their delicate skin.

i think bathing the baby every evening just before bed is good. it helps them to relax, a lil lavender lotion can help also. now as to powder, might i suggest the liquid. the powder gets into the air and the baby can breath it in and it can be bad for the lungs.

Hosptile told me that bathing every other night helps their skin. If you bath every night their skin gets dry. As for powder, they have a liquid powder. It goes on like a cream, but dries like a powder. It is pretty nifty.

I always bathed my children every night before putting them to sleep from infancy and then insisted they bathe every night through their school years. What they did once they left home is up to them, but hopefully they continued their cleanliness on a daily basis.

every other day is fine. when they start eating baby foods they get messier thus daily bathing will be needed. as for the powder...use with caution. its very bad for babies to breathe the powder. and when you apply it to their bottoms, they breathe it. Also, its very bad if it gets in the vagina of baby girls. I use baby lotion only for my baby, and it works great. No poweder needed!
