i have great hair except for the top layer, it fluffs and frizzes as it dries and will only go down with a lot of time and work. anyone know of something i could use for my hair to minimize this?

Same here... I just tie my hair up in a pony tail or I let it air dry then pull the top part up. I really am sympathetic about your poor hair... Know just how ya feel.

If it gets frizzy "as it dries" I am assuming you don't blow dry it, ya? You just let it air dry?? Well if that's the case use mousse and gel on your hair. That's what I use and it keeps my hair pretty tame. If I didn't use that then my hair would be all over the place. My hair is curly so I scrunch it as I put in the mousse and gel so if you don't have curly hair it may not help as much and just may make it look oily. At any rate, good luck.

Oh ya, and lots of places have stuff you can put in your hair to keep it tame. Just talk to a stylst. They are a lot of help!

Get a product called Biosilk it is for taming frizz. Instead of air dying use a round brush and a blowdryer work through your hair from the bottom up.

Use GHD iron oil and then just straighten the top layer. It works really well. you could also use John Friede frizz ease shampoo. That might help

I have thick hair too, but I just let it go really natural with out any perm or anything. Try letting ur hair go natural and straighten it with a straightening comb or pressing it.

i hav the same problem it isn't a problem anymore
get your hair cut into steps ,this would reduce the volume of ur hair in the lower portion
if u use a drier dont do so ,dry ur hair in the sun
