My dog shakes all the time! Is it normal? He is not cold. It might be his anal glands what do you think??? He is 12 and a jack russell terrier. A male.

12 is kind of old for a dog. if you are really concerned, I think it would be best to take him to a vet to make sure he doesn't have arthiritis or anything serious like that.

That sort of palsy is VERY common in old terriers. Jack Russells, Fox Terriers and Schnauzers all seem to get it - all of mine included. They're not in any pain from it and they're not cold. The worst part is explaining it to everyone who asks, "Is he scared?" "Is he cold?" Just tell them it's like Parkinson's in people.

my rat terrier shkes only if he has to go out to the bathroom remember all terriers are high strung1

mine lays in front the heater even when shes not shakin,so I dont know
