You have to define "invitations to worship". Are you talking about a church asking people to stop by or are you talking about the radio station inviting people to worship as they listen. There are two different ways to look at this.
There are quite a number of people who listen to Christian radio who are not Christians. They're usually folks who have hit rock bottom and need help. They're also the people who are very wealthy but sitting on the ledge of their office building wanting to end it all. This is why I have a problem with radio stations who play Christian music, but never offer the plan of salvation.

Yes, Most Christians Are Worshippers And Need That Inspiration, But On The Other Hand, There's Always A Chance That Those Who Don't Christ And Want To Know Christ Will Tune In!....I've Known This To Happen!

In the US, the majority of listeners would be Christian, but that doesn't mean they all are practicing Christians, and the invitations may be aimed at getting some of them to worship. Also, there are numerous Christian denominations (Catholic, Lutheran, Baptist, etc.). Many of the invitations you hear are, in effect, advertisements for people to try out that particular denomination.

Most listeners are Christian however there are some that happen across these stations that are not saved, and or curious. Sometimes God will steer a sinner who's life has hit a low point and needs Jesus, to tune in... seemingly by coincidence.
Others tune in to make fun - and of some of these, may actually turn to Christ. Sometimes its a backslider who tunes in.., So invitations are quite proper and needed.
Not all who tune in are Christian.

Yes, most listeners are Christian.
I heard "Back to the Bible" speaker Woodrow Kroll say why he invites people to worship at their local church on Sunday.
It is because many Christians are in the habit of NOT going to church. They would rather tithe their income to a radio program and skip church.

I am a passionate atheist and secularist, rationalist, scientist. I listen to premier radio mainly to hear what the blighters are up to. It's also quite funny, you get some wacky preachers

Yes, but what if they are searching for a new church. What if someone is just scanning and happens to stop at that station. They may hear something and want to learn more.

I agree with jan_**** (above).
I'm an atheist and I listen to or watch religious broadcasts quite regularly. Having been raised a Baptist and having knowledge of the bible, it amuses me when I hear them tell their lies with straight faces.
