Ah, do I count? I served one tour, 366 days in Vietnam.

I was with the 184th Chemical Platoon attached to the 1st Cav. Division out of Phuoc Vinh in III Corps (north of Bien Hoa) from July 1970- Mar 1971.

From Mar 1971-July 1971 I was with the Americal Division. I went from Hawkhill up to Gaio Lin up on the DMZ and then down to Danang.

This was all with the US Army.

My father did three tours in Nam (Navy Seabee). I almost didn't have a dad to grow up with because on his last tour he was listed MIA. Still don't know what happened and he doesn't talk about anything that went on over there.

Three of my uncles also went to Nam (1 Navy, 1 Army, 1 Marine). My husband's uncle served in Nam as a sniper (Marine) and never really came home. He died about 10 years ago, I think still fighting his own private war with the demons from there.

The closest I had was an older neighbor who served in Vietnam. I remember they had a huge party when he came back, and I watched all of the slides he brought back about fifteen times!
