LGA is a good bet as JFK is across the island and you could hit traffic. Don't rule out Newark just because it's in New Jersey. If you shoot up I-95 and don't hit traffic at the George Washington Bridge you can get to Connecticut quickly. Also, if you fly into Newark you can quickly get on Amtrak. From the terminals you take a monorail to the train station. Amtrak goes through this station.
Also consider flying into White Plains which is north of New York City in Westchester County. The airport property actually borders Connecticut.

Definately JFK. All are 14 miles apart but, where you will be going JFK is easier to access. Stamford, CT is only about an hour drive from JFK (with no traffic).

LGA is much closer to Stamford, and you don't have to take the Van Wyck which can be very bad sometimes.
You basically have to pass LGA to get to Stamford from JFK. Unless you take a ferry. Both in distance and avoiding traffic LGA is better than JFK.
EWR would be out of the question, too far and you'd have to drive in to Manhattan.

I do, in spite of the indisputable fact that it easily isn't basically like the "old-days"... I undergo in innovations flying back in the early Seventies - - You have been envisioned to gown as much as fly - no sweats, no denims... adult adult males wore a in shape or slacks and a jacket a minimum of. - nutrients have been delicious... I nonetheless undergo in innovations the nutrients on Air Canada, Air France, and Lufthansa. - There wasn't all this intrusive protection... you walked via a metallic detector and that became IT. in spite of this... the in-flight movie became a movie - no individual displays. i've got been flying for 40+ years... commercial, the US army, and as a private pilot. somebody pronounced the value... which i'm going to agree is great different than for some commuter-flights on the West Coast I persisted - San Diego to San Francisco whilst i became in the army and became heading as much as circulate to my mom and father. What became meant to be a 40 5 minute flight frequently stretched into 3-4 hours thank you to the climate at SFO, and in case you probably did the flights throughout the summer season whilst the marine-layer fog led to which you're able to desire to assume that to take place seventy 5% of the time :( in the event that they ever deploy the intense-velocity rail in California as they plan... the practice might make that run in 2.5 hours without climate delays !! additionally related to velocity... we took the Queen Mary 2 around the Atlantic - 7 days instead of 10 hours, yet rattling it became relaxing and luxury... and basically 6 circumstances the value (no longer undesirable once you communicate approximately you're additionally getting a chief "inn room" and nutrients).

Booking a cab to take you to the airport is a game of Russian roulette, especially if you’re on a strict business schedule. The concerns of most travelers hinge on being able to escape the airport and get off to their destinations as quickly as possible. A cab simply can’t offer the written guarantees of punctuality and professionalism that a car service can. If your cab fails to show up on time, and you’re made late to your first meeting, you’ve costed yourself productivity and your company money. When you book car service, you can enjoy the confidence in knowing your car will be waiting when you land, ready to whisk you off to your next stop.
