I just asked the same question and someone suggested the southbeach diet, and thats the same thing that my doc. told me was to try the south beach diet. It may seem hard but its not try it out the first phase of the diet is cutting out a lot of things but its only for two weeks you can find the book at book stores, and i tried it two weeks ago and I have lost about 10lbs so I would try this. at least you get to eat..

To lose 5-10 pds quick cut out all soda's even diet and drink nothing but water. And walk walk walk!

Go on a low-carb diet. My aunt and uncle did that, and they shed pounds like crazy! Also, be sure to exercise and be active. Do crunches or sit ups to tone your abs.
