Why are there so many broken tile pieces laying around? Get rid of them!

Dobies and Border Collies are the only dogs I know of that do weird stuff like this - both breeds are highly intelligent and quirky. I'd say, just remove all the tiles from his sight. I had a border collie that played with an aluminum cooking pot, took it everywhere with her and guarded it like a puppy.

Your dog is so cute. I would take the tile pieces and place them where he can't see or get to them. This will eliminate the barking at them. My dogs do the same with firewood but they don't bark too long for they begin to chew it up instead.

its a bit awkward as he has been allowed to carry tile pieces so telling him hes bad now is gonna kinda confuse the little fella but perhaps u could try doin a bit of a swap and give him something different to carry i guess its a case of how long has this been goin on?as the longer the harder its gonna be to 'swap' coz its obviously something he likes to do ....
but i agree he sounds dead cute!!

Give him something else to carry for a start.! Then get some training discs, which use negative reinforcement, and train him to them. They are very useful for other things too.
