It comes out the same way it came in, what was the point in eating? Did we even get some nutrition out of it?

You actually absorb nutritional content from corn. The outer shell of the corn kernel is what you see in the toilet. But the most important reason for eating it is because it tastes so darned good.

Because it's delicious. By the way, the sugar in corn turns to starch within an hour or so of being picked.

Having been fortunate enough to eat some within that time period a few times, I can tell you that it's infinitely more delicious then. I wonder what effect, if any, that has on its nutritional status.

I think it just needs to be chewed more thoroughly. But think of it as fiber to help bulk up whats in there and help everything pass quicker.
