I have heard half a dozen women recently say,"In another life, I was a _____" . Several of them actually said, "Parisian Courtesan'? Hello? Thats a hooker! I think re-incarnation is chicken poo. How do I respond politely?

Why is it everyone else has good past lifes. I was a pox ridden chimney sweep with a glandular problem that caused me to sweat constantly. Before that I was a fly. This time I am mental. I hope to be working in retail in my next life either that or hooking rugs in a sweatshop. Sorry rambling again.
Just say, "do you know any a good recipes for escargot?"

Well, I don't know that politely works in this situation. People often look at any sort of person having any sort of opposing opinion as some sort of jab or cut. The best thing you can do is tell them that you don't believe in re-incarnation and leave it at that. If they prompt you to say more, without getting aggravated, explain politely what you believe. If they want to believe they were a hooker in a past life, hey, great for them, but be truly happy with who you are right here, right now and don't ever be ashamed or reluctant to show pride in who you are.

When I disagree, I reply "What a galacticly huge crock of whores**t! What the f***! It doesn't say ANYTHING in that F****** bible about reincarnation! You waking up from a drunken stupor doesn't qualify you for another life! You're still a whore!!!!"

Of course, YOU could respond politely by saying "Well, my intoxicated friend, I remember your previous life as a Parisian Courtesian and that was last week- not a previous life. Would you like a cup of coffee with your valium?"

Most of the time I don't say anything to the people I disagree with. I just assume that if they aren't a Christian they will have a variety of wild, incorrect beliefs.

Usually, the only time I step in to say my opinion is when I hear women from my church discussing things that are un-biblical or in the manner of which you speak.

I definately speak up when I hear ...
discussions or suggestions about divorce as a valid option to a tough marriage

reading horoscopes

and "luck"...( there is no such thing since we have a Soveriegn God.)

Most of the women I know (including myself) have been in the world for so long, now that we are saved, it is hard to get that junk out of our heads.

Wow, that's interesting. I have never had that experience or anything like that. How did you come to understand that you had a previous life and what it was?

You don't have to agree or disagree just ask about their experience. Try to understand why they think that. You can still think it's chicken poo. It won't hurt you to hear their story. Then you can tell your story later like "I have never had any dreams or feelings like that" or "I have just never had any sense of any other life than this" or sometimes i say "this is my first life"

Respond with love, because Jesus would not be rude. I don't think I would just jump out and say something, but try to feel what they feel and them slowly start talking about God. For example, if you said God is not real, I would say, " why do you think that" "Did someone hurt you?" After getting comfortable with, I would share the truth. But sometimes when get angry and want to say something right then, it hurts ore than helps. Remember we are here to when souls not lose them:) God bless you.

In LOVE and give them some TRUTH too!!! Just because you disagree dosen't mean that you have to insult, degrade, put-down or start a fight. Answer lovingly, then give them some-thing to think about. If they want to fight after that, back-off. They have a GOD given right to BELIEVE any-thing they want to.
Like this: LUCK is operated by the devil's angels and has nothing to do with GOD.
CHANCE is in the BIBLE, it is GODLY and probably, GOD can manipulate it if HE wants to, then it wouldn't be CHANCE any-more, but of GOD. Stay away from anything that has to do with LUCK. It will draw you into more FEAR, which is of the Devil.
Wanna fight now???????hahaha just kidding.

Respond with reason. That will lead to the best (balancing politeness and accuracy) response.

Prepare for an argument. Open your mouth and speak your mind or write it down and send it off.
