Definately the charge back. I have had one client in your situation over the years. That was when Eastern went bankrupt. The credit card companies do refund for bankrupt airlines.

If you haven't traveled yet, there is a law that the other airlines must take you standby for 25 dollars each way on bankrupt tickets.

If you paid by cash/check, and haven't traveled, you are out 300 dollars.

Check with the airline if they have arranged with some other airline to travel those who have already booked and paid.

If you paid thru credit card, file a charge back with your credit card company. This is the easiest way out. Bank will listen to you as they will be aware that the company has gone bankrupt, but then again if the company has gone bankrupt, they might not be able to deduct the money from the airlines account.

Wait for the bankruptcy suite file.
and then you can claim for your money.

or find a local layer, and discuss it with him.

I am sure there must be a lot many people with the same case.

Check the airlines website. They may be required to have information about this. Unfortunately you will probably get screwed. Chapter 11 is designed to protect investors and debt holders.
