Being totally honest, what things does your religion do/teach that you are saddened by?

it attracts a certain amount of stupidity.
some people want to be atheist just to piss off the monotheists, or because they think its the easy way out.
i hate being lumped in with them.
atheism is difficult in that i don't have the second chance of heaven if i mess up my life here. there's also no one watching over me, no one who's my built in invisible friend.
if i have a moral dilemma i can't just go ask my priest for guidance, or look into the bible for answers, i have to reason them out myself.
many people for those reasons choose a monotheistic religion (it doesn't matter which one).
but i like mine. even though its hard, i'm not up in the middle of the night worrying about satan. i don't have to listen to someone who i know in my heart isn't honest and doesn't want the best for me. i don't have to conform. i can make my own personal morality.

There is nothing to grieve based on what is happening around the world. The world is not the last place you rest so it is a place of restlessness..

Every thing what is happening is according to GODs plan including every kind of death of any believer.

Earth is a place for test for hereafter so everyone is tested placing in different situation. Some will be suffering, some will be happy, some are rich, some are poor, violence, temporary peace, all these will circle around the world.

All we have to remember is we live for a short time so we are unique creation non like other each has their own qualities and looks that means we are unique individuals. So don't waste your time search for the truth within the time you got.

There is one true religion which I found with no Hokos Pokes, that is ISLAM

Intolerance to other beliefs and ways of life that differ from what they teach. I'm also saddened by the influence that religious groups have in politics. I do not believe that God needs to be removed from the Pledge of Allegiance or that the Ten Commandments should be removed from government buildings (because after all. isn't that what all our laws are based on?) but I do believe that they need to stop trying to influence legal decisions. I believe that banning gay marriage, for instance, for religious reasons is a violation to the rights of others who choose not to practice a certain belief.

What saddens me most is people who claim to be Christians, but don't ever read their Bibles, don't have a clue what that means, and therefore give real Christians a bad name. There is nothing in the Bible's teachings that saddens me. It's all good.

i'm agnostic and in no way highly non secular. i'm conscious of the full evil performed with assistance from religions over the years. yet then back, I believe you. we've an innate prefer to trust in some thing, to worship, be grateful, etc. that's part of human nature, the way we are stressed. We also choose nationalism, patriotism, ethnic knowledge and delight, and all those issues that are so heavily on the region of religion, yet those issues also do severe damage. it truly is the full irony of heritage that religions in conserving with love and tolerance and the brotherhood of guy are the drivers of each and every of the hatred and genocide contained in the international. declaring we choose faith (which i trust we do) and that it does reliable (which it actual does) would not justify the different aspect, the 'darkish aspect of the stress'.

Because I am a Pentecostal Christian, sometimes I feel that people who have made it throughtsome tough things look down on the people who are still going through. And in Christianity, especially in Black churches, it seems like people use God as a gift giver for material things, they don't always praise him for the things that he has done like keeping them alive through their sins, but they rather enjoy the fact that the more they praise him, the more earthly things they receive. But I praise him for giving me the energy to get out of the bed and for helping me make it through another day.

At my church in particular, our pastor tries to instill that no matter what you own or what you have gotten in your transformation, if you don't share with those who are less fortunate, then you have forgotten the whole purpose of your blessing.

The other thing I don't like but I know is in the bible is Tithe and Offering. Why does God need money? I know that a good portion of the money goes to the operatio of the church and maintenance, but I thought that faith and works were more important than money. I know of a lot of religions that promote tithe and offering, but I don't think it should be a part of the service. It should happen at the end of the service, so people who can't afford to give don't feel embarrassed to not have anything to give.

Other things I don't like is how so many Christians turn the words of the bible into something to benefit them when it is convenient, that way they don't have to face up to their sins and transgressions. Another thing is how people in church congregations form cliques that seem to have no real purpose or benefit of the church. They get into these supposed ministries and then start talking about other people from the other ministries or either in thier own and then the first thing they say is "People talked about Jesus too", to try to justify what they have said or done to someone else. It seems to me that their is more crap happening in the churches behind closed doors than is happening in the open on the streets. And what's up with the super size churches? I prefer the old small chruces where faith is key versus, how many people can we get in the building kind of churches.

I know that it may seem like I'm knit picking but these are the things that most people don't see or are just non-chalant about pointing out.

I guess my biggest problems stem from the people not the actual religion itself, but the mis-interpretation and the use of the religion for personal material gain. These things I know because I was raised going to church and the church is what actually drove me away from my religion, not the religion itself. Still by faith, I honor God and try to keep his commandments but as for going to church, I refuse to be caught up in such a mess.

Jesus said he would tear down the temple and rebuild it in three days, and although he meant the temple of the body, sometimes I wish he would tear some of these so calleds man made temples down.

im a wiccan and the grief i have about wiccans is that they dont stand up to the intolerance and cruelty they suffer at the hands of christians. they say that "never again the burning times" which means they wont allow christians to burn any witch at the stake anymore but every wiccan i know would rather hide and be solitary. i do my best here and in the real world but because i look so alone here in south dakota im pretty ridiculed for standing up for a religion against christianity in the deep bible belt.
