My first reaction was to say yes, but then I think about the delectable silken chocolate that is blanketed with the harder overlay of chocolate and I have to say it's an insult to the truffle to use such common words to describe it. Thinking about it affects my juices.

They should make Chocolate Truffles with a mushroom Truffle filling. It could be called "Truffle filled Truffle", and confuse the hell out of people.

As far as candy goes, pretty much, but places like Harry and Davids and Lindt also have truffles with different flavored centers like raspberry, coffee, mint, etc. Those are all very yummy too.

What is also confusing is that truffles also refers to a type of mushroom. So if you see a steak with truffles on a menu, it does not include candy. :-)

You could be right. These are the creme de la creme of chocolates, supposedly. But then it depends entirely on your personal taste. What taste sends you over the edge?
Are they the melt in your mouth type of experiences, for some almost a sexual experience, or are they just fancy chocolcates to others?
Only you can decide :)
