You’re staying in a house with a couple of old people who tell you where to sleep, when to eat, and are always saying “don’t touch anything.”

LOL - exactly right.

A few years ago an old college friend and his wife were running a B&B. His wife was always yelling at us to go down to the basement or go outside when we started messing around. Man, it was like being sent to your room by your mom. :D

I don't think so. I've been to a couple of bed and breakfasts and I never felt the urge to go drink or get high in the garage because I hated the proprietors.

I have stayed at a few and the one that was the smallest really left me feeling like an intrudor, but the two larger ones because of the size and the way they were run were more confortable than hotels...

The B&Bs I've been to have not been like that, thank goodness. They will either bring breakfast to your room or you have the option to dine at an appointed time with the other guests. I have not felt like I couldn't have sex either. Neither have I been told not to touch anything.
Maybe you just have unresolved parental issues? LOL! Or you visited the wrong B&B!

I'm convinced that some Bed and Breakfasts have a backyard full of guests that didn't follow the rules.

Never been to a B & B. Not sure if I ever want to. I like the anonimity of a larger hotel. I don't have to smile, or be chatty or say hello if I don't want to.
I have no set schedule to adhere to either.
Nice comparison....:)

Not really. You have to pay to stay at a bed and breakfast.

To say yes would insinuate my parents charged me by the night. What do you think about that?

Sounds more like visiting that anal aunt and uncle that always made tuna casserole for dinner. *shudders*
