im making shrimp and scallop alfredo for my boyfriend's birthday dinner. i need help figuring out what else to make/serve with it. i dont ever cook so any advice will help.

make a nice salad on the side wtih some premade breadsticks and add cheese and garlic to the breadsticks. (but not to much garlic) hope this helps and good luck!

Garlic Bread and Thianti wine would make a nice birthday dinner along with your shrimp

A nice salad and garlic toast. Maybe some red wine. Sounds good. Good Luck! (just a hint: Don't over cook the shrimp!)

Garlic bread would be good. You can actually pick up frozen garlic bread at a local grocery store, then bake it at home to warm it up.
A simple tossed salad would be good, too. And wine. For dessert, an ice cream will do the trick, or maybe tiramisu or cheesecake (just pick it up from a grocery store, no biggie) if you're up to it.

A nice light salad, mesculin with a oil and vinegar dressing, along with some garlic bread would be great!

well i would make a chilled pasta salad

dice tomatoes
and cucumbers
cooked pasta i like to use the shells
2 tbls of favorite salad dressing
stir all together and season to taste
chill until ready to serve


also cressent rolls rubed with garlic and butter before baking is great with seafood.

You may want to serve some steamed/sauteed veggies...yellow squash, zucchini, red pepper, and some mushroms, maybe even some chinese pea pods. Some garlic bread and salad.

serve it with garlic bread, a fresh crisp salad, and a nice bottle of white wine. gelato for dessert!
