Is there any ingredient I can add to the basic recipe to make them more varied? For exemple chocolate or almonds.... But I mean to the pancake itself, not as a side dish.

You can make "crepes" the thin french pancakes- SOO yummy.

Or do berry pancakes- blueberry, blackberry, strawberry or raspberry pancakes by adding about one tablespoon of fresh berries to each pancake as they cook.

After you have placed the batter on the griddle wait until the bubbles begin to form. Sprinkle the berries over the top of the pancakes. They will cook for another 2 minutes or so until the bubbles have burst on top of the batter. Turn the pancake and finish cooking.

You can add ham or bacon for Swedish pancakes...Or chocolate chips...but I wouldn't add bacon and chocolate chips together. LOL.

Absolutely! Add anything to pancakes. Chocolate chips are good. But any fruit is great. My friends and I often make banana pancakes (mash up banana, and add it to the batter with vanilla extract). Blueberry, raspberry, cherry pancakes are all really good. My favourite, are pear pancakes with pecans. You cook pears in a pan with some brown sugar, and toasted chopped pecans. Let it cool, add it to the batter. It's great!

Try this my friend, it's different and good. Cook french toast as usual, then dip them into pancake batter and cook them again. It's french toast inside and pancake outside.
