I would replace the battery first. That should do the trick. If not, go see the dealer.

the first question that i would have for you would be when was the last time that it did work, i would try to replacing the battery in the remote first, but you will have to reprogram all the remotes at that time. if that does not work, than you will need to bring it to the dealer, it may be the something else as well

try changin the battery, if it still doesnt work, get the service agent check out the transmittance and connectivity between remote and car, if no hope, then i guess u'll have to change the whole remote with transsmittance box.

The key might have been just unprogrammed... take it to the dealership were you go it or just call a Ford dealer and tell them whats up... same thing happen to my Taurus... No Charge and it only took like 10minute to reprogrammed the key

try the battery first...the remotes are costly. but you can find them on ebay for way cheaper than a new one.

no replace it because its not always a battery its a chip thing but i guess a battery

Its 2006, battery must be dead. Must b a lithium type, dies after 2yrs. guess u must have had it not working for some tyme now.
