I have a REGISTRY FIX registry-fixing software. But after i ran it, My office 2003 has begun reinstalling when i click it's icons. The clip manager also displays an error of not completing its task. My encarta encylopedia does the same.
Is it probably the registry software? Is it advisable to use such software anyway?

do you have a brand or software name you can post? generally it isn't a good idea to run any software that messes around with the registry as this can permanetly hose your computer if you are not careful. The only time I would run something like this is if you were having some major problems with your computer to start with, as far as viruses/spyware/adware/etc and this was a last resort.

It's the registry software you used. To fix your Office 2003 issues, uninstall it and reinstall it. I've never had a problem with CCleaner, http://www.ccleaner.com/ which is a registry cleaner and junk file remover.

If you don't clean the registry on a regular basis, your computer will become bloated with old entries that are just sitting there doing nothing. In my experience, you NEED to clean the registry, it's just a matter of knowing which programs to use and which programs to not use.

I'd be very careful about messing with anything involving the editting of the registry. You may have to reload your operating system if you mess things up in registry.
