I have been on wellbutrin 300mg and cymbalta 30mg for about five months. I ran out of cymbalta about a week ago and wellbutrin about two days ago. I have a prescription refill but have been unable to get to the pharmacy... its a very long story, but believe me it has been unavoidable. The last three days I have been becoming increasingly depressed and volitile. The last two I have been crying off and on and being way too serious with my hubby who is traveling for his job right now. I have been thinking all the depressed thought I used to, my life sucks, I am in a hopeless situation, I am totally alone, etc.

Is this withdrawl and if so do I have to start all over again once I am taking them again? I will be able to fill my scrips tomorrow.

I take Zoloft 50mg everyday, and I can tell you that this is a perfectly normal feeling for someone who has suddenly stopped taking them for one reason or another. I ran out and it took me a week to refill my scripts, but when I did, they seemed to kick back in over a matter of 12-24 hours. I assume this will vary from person to person, depending on body chemistry, but at the very least, you should be back to your 'normal' (anti-depressant taking) self within a couple of days.
In any case, you should keep in contact with your doctor or mental health professional and let him/her know what is going on.

I feel for you! My brother has the same problem. My brother has many antidepressant pills, and he also has a lot of Odderol. When my brother takes to much at one time, he has nothing for the last days before he gets new pills. During those days, he acts like he is bipolar, although he really isn't. He's either laughing or crying. Either that or he sleeps all day. Now he's slowly taking off from his addictive Odderol and all those other depressants. He takes off 5 mg a month, so he gradually gets less addicted from all those pills. My brother complains, but at least he's not hibernating like a bear all the time. A suggest for you to gradually decrease your dosage, too. It's not good to get on those pills. They might help you in the short run, but they don't allow your body do what it's supposed to do. And that 's very bad indeed.

Yes it is withdrawal, because it is sudden and abrupt, plus both medications. I would consult the doctor if you should continue on the dosage or begin on a smaller dosage since the cymbalta has been a week ago, as far as the wellbutrin, I believe it is ok to continue on the dosage since you will have only missed a couple of days.

It is withdrawal, and I know you realize how important it is to stay on your meds. Call your doctor, and ask if you need to start increasing your dosage slowly. I wouldn't think so, but I'm no doctor. Stay on your meds.
