If you are trying to retrieve a document you lost when your computer crashed or the power went out??? As soon as your system comes back up open word not the doc a new fresh word doc. It will come up with a restore box on the side saying that word did not close properly and will have automatically saved your last file. Good luck.....

If you have a valid registration key for a new version, you could try downloading the trial and inserting your key to activate it. If you do not.....sorry!
