is it right for a woman to have an extra marital affair ? I think not , it's wrong just wrong, If you feel you have to have an affair to get what you aint gettin at home well then it's time to have a talk to the other person and see if you can't just end it.

no i don't feel it's right for a man to have an extra marital affair on his wife this is cheating and eventually the man will be caught doing such the man should place himself in the others shoes how would he feel if the same were done to him and is the risk of losing one's marriage and spouce actually worth having an affair in the 1st place

No. Its not fair to his wife and/or his kids! If you decide to marry someone, you have entered into a contract and a lot of trust is involved. An extra marital affair breaks that trust with your wife and your kids and it is very very very difficult to repair.
Secondly, your authority and respect are severely undermined and your family relationships will be in tatters.

Depends on his marital vows... Most marriage vows refere to something along the lines of fidelity. If he promised to love, honor, cherish... blah, blah, then his behavior needs to show that he actually loves, honors and cherishes her. His actions should show that her feelings are more imortant than any "urge" he may have.
An affair expresses none of these qualitites, it shows no concern for a spouse's feelings. It is a blatant "FU" to the marriage vow, and to the spouse. In my mind an affair does not prove how manly a man is- it shows how childish, selfish he is.
If on the other hand his marital vows said something like... "I'll do it with whoever comes along, and it's ok with me if you do the same..." I say, knock yourself out! Hope you both end up with STD's.

Honestly it is not alright for a man to have an affair, however I have known men who do because things at home aren't working and instead of getting divorced because of kids and finances etc..
they find the physical attributes outside of marriage. And even though I don't condone I do understand it happens.

Not only men have affairs women do it also and they do it for a variety of reasons, if that sounds like I'm condoning it I'm not I just believe that if all is well at home then neither partner will stray. The world is not black and white its shades of grey, if you consider straying or your partner has then work out why its happening (preferably before it happens) and fix the problem communicate.....you need to love to be loved.

It really depends on the situation. Some marriages are kept working because of one or both partners cheat. Most people who say don't, without knowing the facts, are either xtians, unmarried, liars, single or very, very lucky.

If you make a commitment or take vow to be with one person then you should honor your promise. If you want out of the relationship then you should talk it over with your partner.
