How do we know whether the money we are spending is legal currency in our country and accepted for payment of all debts public and private? How do we know if it's printed by our government? That currency must meet certain standards – right? In the U.S. for example, the greenback has several embedded security features along with a particular look, color and feel – does it not? Counterfeiters can reproduce sufficiently to "pass" but more than a cursory glance will show it to be fraudulent. What happens when you get caught trying to pass that fraudulent buck? Does the government say, "Well, it's okay. You were sincere in your heart?"

It is similar with true worship. To say it doesn't matter to God is about the same as saying it doesn't matter to the government what form of money we use so long as we're sincere or so long as we just "didn't know or we were confused." Should we just decide which way and manner to worship for ourselves? Not according to Proverbs 14:12: "There exists a way that is upright before a man but the ways of death are the end of it afterward." That is why Christ said at Matthew 7:13-14 that there are only two roads: one leads off to life and one leads off to destruction. No questions, no ambiguity, no concessions.

Well how about if we follow our heart? Not a good idea according to Proverbs 28:26: "He that trusteth in his own heart is a fool." Why would he be a fool? Perhaps because of what Jeremiah 17:9 says: "The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?" So the heart is not to be trusted in these life and death matters. And worship is a matter of life and death, yes.

If we wish to know how long an inch is, we consult a ruler. The Bible is the touchstone of true worship. If we wish to know what is the acceptable way to God, we need to consult the Bible. If our beliefs, doctrines and practices do not conform to it – something is off and that something is us.

Here's how I personally believe that I know as a Christian.

In Islam, Judaism, Hinduism, Buddhism, and a number of other major religions, the point is to live a 'good life' somehow defined, but usually keeping some edicts, commndments, or codes of behaviour that will 'earn' your way to paradise. The idea is that you have to be good and if you are good enough, you will be rewarded with paradise, heaven, nirvana, or whatever.

Christianity is unique because God doesn't require us to try to build a stairway to heaven. He says "I'll let you in on a secret - all have sinned, and no matter how good you think you are or can be, you'll never earn your way to heaven as if you could count up all the good things and weigh them against the bad things". INSTEAD, he says that it is good enough to believe in Christ - who was God revealed to human society - and acknowledge your shortcomings and ask for forgiveness, which he always gives.

So Christians believe that no matter how hard you try, you'll never match up to perfection and never get to heaven, but if you confess that this is the case and believe in God the maker of the universe and in Jesus who was God as a human, then that is enough.

That's why I think Christianity is the right way, it's different to the rest. God meets us where we are - we don't have to go through a bunch of ceremonies or follow lists of rules. Jesus said "I am the way, the truth, and the light. No one comes to the father except through me".

My religion is the "right one" for me and I truly know this in my heart but that is not to say that any other religion is not right for someone else. I always come back to the scripture passage where Jesus said "I have other sheep that are not of this flock" so who is anyone of us to say what God's plan is for others who believe differently? I also think that as Christian, Jesus tells us to preach the good news of His Kingdom but He does not tell us to convert everyone. That is His job to grow the seeds that are planted if He so chooses.

Listen, no religion is the right religion. Christ is the way. You worship in spirit and in truth. God's Word is His Spirit and His truth.

Joh 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

Joh 4:23 But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him.
Joh 4:24 God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.

Only your own internal feeling of resonance or correctness can provide personal guidance. Don't allow anyone else to make you believe that their way is "the one true path" - only you can determine what is right for you.

It isn't right above all others because I believe that the rules are basically the same (do not kill etc) so as long as you believe in something you're right!

There is no right religion. Concentrate on spirituality and let the churçhianity take care of itself. It's all bogus.

Ask Three questions:
1. Is it based entirely on "You must believe and not question"
2. Promote the welfare of believers and non-believers alike
3. Promote Deity or personality
These questions will guide you correctly

You can't know that (although I daresay you'll get some answers proclaiming to know the "one true way!"). All you can do is follow what YOU believe and what's right for you.
